Fatherโs Day hits different when the person who made you feel invincible is no longer just a phone call away.
This is my second Fatherโs Day without my dad โ and the ache doesnโt fade.
He was my biggest champion. The one who believed in me before I believed in myself.
His wisdom lives on in every bold step I take, and I carry his strength with me every single day.
Iโm also incredibly grateful for my husband โ the kind of father every child deserves.
Present. Loving. Consistent.
Watching him with our son reminds me how powerful quiet leadership and unconditional love can be.
To all the fathers out there โ especially the unsung heroes who show up, day in and day out, without asking for applause: thank you.
Youโre shaping lives. Building resilience. Modeling strength.
Even if the world doesnโt always notice, your impact is lasting.

1. Stop chasing big-company approval. Start solving real problems.
Mid-sized firms, startups, and nonprofits need experienced operators โ they just donโt always know how to write it in a job post.
2. Turn your expertise into income.
Donโt just apply. Own a function.
Start consulting, coaching, or advising. Lead as a fractional or interim leader.
3. Upskill just enough to stay relevant โ not to start over.
This isnโt about learning Python. Itโs about learning:
โ Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Canva, Trello
โ Certifications in tech sales, financial coaching, data literacy
4. Build your second-curve career โ not a downgrade.
This is a launch, not a fallback. Explore:
Fractional COO or CFO
Executive or leadership coaching
Trade-based business ownership
Online educator or speaker
Public or civic sector roles with impact
Youโre not finished โ youโre just in a career phase the system wasnโt built for.
The world still needs what you know. You just need to bring it to the right table.

Second acts arenโt reserved for midlife.
